​苗族人对人类服饰文化的深厚与繁荣做出了重要贡献，服饰款式和服饰上的刺绣图案有特定的含义，全套刺绣盛装全手工完成，需要长达4-5年的时间才能完成。

​

The Miao people have made an important contribution to the depth and prosperity of human dress culture, using their dresses and the embroidery on them to distinguish between ethnic groups. The full set of embroidered dresses is done entirely by hand and even takes up to 4-5 years to complete.

背儿带是苗族服饰中重要的物件，极致的工艺和精美的刺绣图案，是他们对新生命的幼儿倾注的爱与呵护。

Baby Carriers are an important item in the Miao costume, and the extreme craftsmanship and exquisite embroidery patterns are the love and care Miao people pour into their newborn children.

到今天为止，苗族人也没有形成可通读的文字，苗族服饰上的刺绣兼有了文字和图像的功能。制作好的绣片缝制在服装母体上，形成刺绣盛装。

Until today, Miao people have not developed a readable language system, so the embroidery on Miao costumes functions as both words and images. The embroidered pieces are sewn onto the garment to form the embroidered dress.

​百褶裙是苗民族普遍使用的下装裙子款式，但是依据支系的不同，裙子的款式和制作工艺也有区别。
